Ussingite is a very rare silicate mineral found within the Ilimaussaq Complex in Greenland. Ussingite has a Mohs Hardness of 6 to 7, with an irregular fracture. The color of Ussingite usually varies from pale to medium violet and red violet; can be tinted faintly purple. Ussingite is a bit of a mystery when it comes to fluorescence, some pieces fluoresce beautifully while others don't at all.
This Ussingite specimen in particular has a refined pale violet to lilac color throughout the entirety of the portion. This piece measures in at 12 cm long by 8 cm across, and 3 cm deep making it an impressive specimen for any collection!
Ussingite is said to be an excellent stone for addictions, and forgiveness for both yourself and for others. Ussingite is also said to help open and activate the higher Chakras.
