Central Alberta Small Business Donates over $29,000 to Charities Across Canada

2021 got a little easier for seven charitable organizations this fall thanks to Silver Cove and their event division, Canada Gem Shows.

This Alberta based company hosted events across Canada this fall and donated all of the admission proceeds from their Rock N’ Gem Shows to struggling charities in each city.

The seven events held in Red Deer, Edmonton, Calgary, Regina, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, and Ottawa brought in total of $29,526.99.

“With so many fundraisers and events being cancelled over the past few years, we knew this was going to be a tough year and we saw a way to help” said co-owner Melissa Robak “These donations can help make a difference to so many people and we are honoured to be a part of making a difference.”

Silver Cove is owned and operated by Chris and Melissa Robak and is Canada’s Largest Rock and Gem Company. It was started as a hobby in 2004, and employees over 40 amazing staff.

The charities benefiting from these generous donations are The Mustard Seed in Red Deer and Calgary, Jasper Place Wellness Center in Edmonton, All Nations Hope in Regina, The Lighthouse Supports Living in Saskatoon, Lighthouse Mission in Winnipeg, and The Ottawa Mission in Ottawa
